Sweet Cherry Growing In China

Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) was firstly introduced into Chinain 1871. Being the earliest ripening perennial deciduous fruit tree in north China, it is very valuable for early seasonfruit market supply, and now becomes the main cultivated Prunus L. speciesin China.With rapid development of China’seconomy, an explosive growth of sweet cherry cultivation area and productionhas occurred in the past two decades.
